Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-23

Squishly Tools ("we", "us"), operated by Squishly Tools, is a browser-based file toolbox. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use this website, and your rights under laws including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Your files are processed locally

Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your web browser using your own device. The files you open, which include images, PDFs, audio, video and documents, are never uploaded to a server. They stay in your browser's memory and are gone the moment you close the tab. We cannot see, store or share them.

Information we collect

You do not need an account to use the tools, and we do not ask for the contents of your files. We may process:

  • Anonymous usage analytics. This is aggregated data such as which tools are used and the general device or browser type, used to improve the site.
  • Cookie and consent choices. This is a small record of your cookie preference, stored in your browser.
  • Advertising data. Where ads are enabled, our advertising partners may collect data as described below.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a limited set of cookies and local storage. This covers strictly necessary items to run the site and remember your consent choice, and, where enabled, advertising and analytics cookies. On your first visit we show a consent banner so you can accept all cookies or reject non-essential ones. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie choices control in the footer.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may be supported by advertising served by Google AdSense and other third-party vendors. These partners, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites.

  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • Learn how Google uses data at google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, a consent choice is presented before non-essential cookies are set, and rejecting them limits ads to non-personalised where supported.

Your GDPR rights (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. Our lawful bases are your consent (for non-essential cookies and personalised ads) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Your California rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising cookie activity may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA; you can opt out by selecting Reject non-essential in the cookie banner or via the cookie choices control. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Your choices

You can manage cookies at any time using the Cookie choices link (also in the site footer), and through your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies opts you out of personalised advertising and analytics.

Data retention & security

Because your files never leave your device, we hold none of them. Consent and anonymous analytics data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. We use reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we handle.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date above.
